It's Happening! The Beginning of Our Tiny House Adventures.

Are we dreaming? Yep. Well, kind of. We are doing it! Operation Tiny House started and officially gettin' going on it today. The flatbed has been purchased. This is Brian up in Portland late April, actually. We bought the Cypress 20 model floor plans and trailer from Tumbleweed Tiny House Company after attending a workshop in Auburn, California in the late Spring. We have a build site... thanks Dad! Registering the flatbed and welding old racks for Brian's truck to carry our lumber so we can get the first stage built and roof up. We hope to get this part done fairly quickly before the Winter hits.

It's been a really big deal for us to embark on building a home together. On one hand it isn't a mortgage- and yet we will be making quite a bit of decisions as a team. To name a few... what kind of insulation do we want? will you be totally off grid? can we change up the orientation of the kitchen window and switch the floor plans without making drastic electric and plumbing changes? how will we decorate the exterior? is a compost toilet the best option in close proximity? What will Life be like living together in 150 square feet with a border collie?

So... This is where we will keep our virtual memories and share the beautiful, the challenging, the goofy, and the everything-in-between stuff.
